MGoS has started to prepare for the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) in 2025, where 39 countries are set to present their Voluntary National Reviews (VNRs), we are excited to invite independent stakeholders to actively engage in the stakeholder process. Your participation is essential in shaping the VNR presentations and contributing valuable questions and insights.

The Major Groups and Other Stakeholders (MGoS) play a key role in ensuring that diverse voices, especially those of civil society, are heard in the SDG monitoring process. To strengthen this engagement, we are inviting inputs for statements to be delivered during the VNR presentations in July 2025. The complete list of VNR countries for 2025 is available below.

If your work aligns with any of the countries under review, here’s how you can get involved:

1. Participate in Stakeholder Engagement Webinars

Join our upcoming webinars, hosted in collaboration with UN DESA, as we guide MGoS and stakeholders through the 2025 VNR process. These sessions will feature insights from UN experts and civil society partners on how to effectively participate in the VNR process.

Webinar Schedule:

  • English: Tuesday, 11th February, 9:00 AM (NY time) – Register here
  • Spanish: Wednesday,  12th February, 9:00 AM (NY time) –  Register here
  • Russian: Thursday, 13th February, 11:00 AM (CET time) (Organized by ECE-RCEM) –  Register here

2. Contribute to VNR MGoS Statements

We invite stakeholders to join the collaborative drafting process for country-specific statements. These statements, to be presented by elected speakers during the HLPF 2025 VNR sessions, are critical to ensuring that civil society perspectives are integrated into the dialogue.

If you represent an organization or network working on Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) implementation in one of the 39 VNR countries, your input is invaluable. Please fill out the form at your earliest convenience. The form will remain open until April 2025 (exact deadline to be announced).
